Wow! I have had MANY lighting options that are available on the market today and I can say that these lights truly are a game changer... My studio provides both photography and videography service so we are always looking for great lighting gear that makes sense for the team. Trust me when I say that the reflex lights are a great option for many different situations! My team and I have been predominantly using them for engagement and wedding portrait work as well as reception lighting. The size, weight, and general portability make it a perfect option for an assistant to hold mounted on a pole for extended periods of time or for me to clip to my Spyder holster. Without a doubt the best all purpose run & gun light on the market today. I purchased four of these lights with multiple modifiers and I am confident that these lights will always be in my bags.
I recently purchased a 2X pack of the Stella Flex Pro S. I had many questions and a few self inflicted issues. The support I have received from Light and Motion Support has been simply amazing. Immediate email response, returned phones calls and even parts, when necessary. Their amazing support has made my conversion from Godox flash to continuous lighting a breeze.
I'm very impressed with the Light & Motion Reflex S 2-Light Kit. The lights work flawlessly with Godox transmitters. The lights are high-speed and don't need to recycle like traditional flashes. This kit is a game-changer for sure.
When I was ready to buy lights, I was told that Light and Motion was the way to go and after some research, I decided the cost was worth it. I decided to buy through Adorama or B&H because they are more well known, had a discount, and I was hoping my business could get the lights tax-free. I spent time over several days trying to get a hold of anyone on their team, left voice mails, and never got any clarification. It was so frustrating! I finally decided to reach out to light and motion to see if I could by chance get the lights tax-free through them.
The staff at light and motion are THE BEST staff I've ever worked with in my life. They were happy to help me get the lights tax-free, and the sweet girl on the phone even told me about a bigger sale they would be having the following week. When I got my lights and had a question, I reached out to the team and was immediately given the answers I needed, as well as recommendations for photographers who were speaking and did work similar to mine. At Pas De Deux and WPPI, I met some of the staff and explain a problem I had. The staff immediately stepped up and helped me solve my problem before my next shoot that weekend. They were also genuine friends and very supportive.
I'm beyond impressed. Light and Motion will have my business forever. Thank you so much.
Saw this demonstrated and used it in a workshop at an industry show. It has capabilities that will be useful for hybrid shooters. Strobes has its place in still shoots but just doesn't cut it when I need video in a pinch. Rather than carrying two systems, I think this will lighten up my carry weight for a smoother fluid and dynamic range of work. So far it's proving to be adept at what it promotes to do and do it well. The unit is built for the wear and tear of the demands of event shooters. It is light enough for handheld kinetic shoot style. I only wish the company would provide the ability to use their glass CTO gel filters to be placed directly onto the light without having to also mount the barndoor. Perhaps a magnetic attachment method like the Godox round head strobes.
