Capable and durable

I purchased a Sola 2500 and Gobe Spot for vocational and recreational use. I find the hand strap not conducive to my uses but the pistol grip is perfect for my needs. I use both lights 6-7 nights a week for work as well as spearfishing at night. All i can say is if you have used a Sola you know they are quality and reliable. Im hoping to get as many years as i can out of these lights and will definitely be putting them to the test as stated i use them 6-7 nights a week.

Best Scuba Gear Purchase

I purchased my Sola dive light after a dive where me and my buddy bumped into another pair of divers underwater. They had Sola dive lights, and you could clearly see their lights underwater. Because it was a bright day, the sun washed out my weak light--I had to check and see if it was even on.

Around ten years later, and I'm on my second Sola dive light. It is my favorite piece of gear--the spotlight makes diving at night or in low-visibility conditions so much easier. I am convinced that it helps me spot tiny nudibranchs I wouldn't otherwise see. The flood setting is excellent for photography.

My first Sola dive light lasted almost ten years. When its seal eventually failed, customer service replaced the entire light at heftily reduced price, even though it was way out of warranty. I'm both impressed with both the light and happy with the customer service.

Didn’t come with USB cable

I bought this new light for the USB abilities and it only came with the charging dongle and NO CABLE. I had three USB C cables at my house, none of which were compatible. I went and drove around town this morning and bought $30 worth of USB cables, none of those are compatible. I have been a long time customer of Light and Motion products but I am frustrated that I bought a $500 light with no way to charge it. I now have to special order the USB C cable online that meets the specifications. I wish I would have not bought the USB option. It is very frustrating.

Night snorkeling in Belize!

We did our first ever night snorkeling in Belize with the Sola. It's very bright and easy to use and we saw many new and different creatures at night than during the day. We also use L&M bike lights at home and feel like these are best in category products across the board!

Multiple Uses, Excellent Results

I Have had this light for many years and It is always my number one choice, it is a perfect light for teaching as it’s easy to carry on top of my hand with the small harness, it is not so big that limits motion from my wrist and it is not so small that gets caught on stuff, the battery lasts me for about three dives and I love that I can change to to spot And use that feature to point at things without having to get close to subjects, I can also mount it on top of my camera and use it as a focus light or as a spotlight for macro.
The number one selling point of these lights for me is that the battery is self contained, It gives me peace of mind to know that I couldn’t possibly flood it because there is no opening and closing battery compartments, everything is so easy with the small charger.
The the perfect light.
