Haven't found a better light than this one yet

Our team rides a lot through the night, and we've used a lot of lights in our day. We haven't found one that's as balanced in terms of illumination, size, and battery life as this one. We've used this light on countless rides where we're pushing the limits of what our equipment can do, and the Vis 1000 keeps delivering.

Great light, with room to improve

I've had this light for nearly two years, it's been great. Plenty bright for riding in any conditions, I really only need medium/high modes for fast or technical descents. Battery life has been as advertised, if not slightly better. I use the GoPro mount to attach it to the stem on my bike, there's no unwanted movement or slipping while riding, and it doesn't take up space on the handlebars. The pulse/flash mode is great as a daytime running light.

Things that can be improved/added:

- USB C instead of micro USB
- User swappable lenses with various lens options available (like Gloworm lights) AND
- A StVZO compliant lens or model
- The status LED on the tail end can be hard to see in bright daylight
- ANT+ compatibility, if only to be able see the battery status on a bike computer.

Even without any of the suggestions above being implemented, I would still strongly recommend this light to anyone that's shopping.

Some trade-offs, but excellent

What I love: best thing about this light is that it is easy to take on and off (unlike with most other bike lights, you don't need a mount, or a screwdriver or a lot of spinning or a tiny little nub on an elastic rubber band). Just strap-on to ride and strap-off to charge. THIS IS THE BEST AND EASIEST. Also very bright (lumens seems accurate), though a lot of lights are bright. Also compact one piece (not separate battery) yet still lasts a long time. Quality product. Cons: the charger port is awkward. (When I browse used lights, I see the charger cover is frequently broken as it is on one of mine). On another of mine, the on/off button doesn't work so great (tough to press and activate the light). Overall it's a high quality product.

Great customer service

I wanted to say what an outstanding light this is! Super bright, and holds charge longer than advertised.

Just as impressive was the follow-up I rec'd from Light & Motion concerning an issue (I thought I had) with the light. The support from this company is really strong, and I will be a customer for life!

Have 3 of these. Used for night time gravel and mtb riding attached with the go pro mount adapter and the provided strap as well with no issues. Great customer service.

I often use this light as a backup to the Vis1000 that I run. There are times when I forget to even turn on the Vis1000 because this light works so well. The helmet setup took a min to figure out, but once I figured it out, it was very easy to set up. It's very light, I forgot I even had it on my helmet. 10/10.

Best taillight ever

Our team use this light on a 350-mile non-stop ride, and never had to charge it once. The different power-saving settings are great, the light is durable and very waterproof. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a tried and true light to last them years.

Well exceeds my highest expectations!

I have several StellaPro lights. I was looking for something that provided flash with a fast and reliable recycle times, without overheating. I do macro focus stacking and some of my images can be over 1,000 images. Anne, helped me understand the difference between the different models and accessories, then sent them to me very quickly. Once received, I was very pleased with the versatility, ease of use and solid design and build. A little in the pricey side, but I find it’s worth the money. If they were a bit cheaper, I would buy 3 more to replace some of my other lighting. Gets my strong recommendation.

Great Light, Great Customer Service

I bought this light in October 2022 and use it 2x-3x a week. It's an awesome little light and was very effective during my dark (and also, for the record, cold) morning rides in New England. In April the USB tab broke off, but I wasn't diligent about cleaning it when it got hard to take in and out.

After confirming it was under warranty, Light & Motion replaced it in about a week. Really superb customer service.

I also own an L&M headlight (VS1000) that I recommend.
