Durable and works as advertised

I've had this light for a little over three years and have been using it almost daily for the past 7 months. Prior to the extra time working from home has allowed for morning rides, I'd use the light occasionally but it mostly sat in my bag awaiting a need for use. Although not technically a "con," I am finding I could use a little more light than the 500 lumens provides. On the road (bike lanes) where there are street lights, it works fine. For the sections of my ride that involve canal paths without ambient lighting, even the highest setting does not give me quite enough illumination to effectively see runners or other path users at a distance. I am considering upgrading to the Vis Pro 1000. If your night riding is on streets or other (urban?) areas with ambient lighting, this light is adequate.

The attachment system works well and I've had no durability issues. The attachment strap has maintained its integrity and does not show sign of becoming brittle. Although the light is advertised as being able to be removed from the attachment cradle within a few seconds, I've found that it is much easier/faster to just remove the entire light vs unscrewing the limit screw that secures the light within the bar attachment cradle.

Pros: - The light itself is well made and durability has not been an issue.
- The highest setting continues to allow +/- 1.5 hours of run time
- It provides adequate light for most on-road riding (with ambient lighting)
- The light is relatively small and takes up little room in my on-bike tool pouch. I plan to use this
type of light while bike touring. It can easily be used as a flashlight (in conjunction with a
headlamp) while camping.

Cons: - The charging port cap is not well designed and broke off (consistent with other reviews I've read).
The cap still works, but I need to keep track of it while charging. The plastic attachment seems to
be a design flaw.
- It takes quite awhile to charge. I'm not a tech guy, but I assume if they upgraded the charging
port to a USB-C it might charge quicker? The newer models indicate a quicker charge, so that
issue might be resolved.

Overall Assessment: The light is durable and has been reliable during the last three years I've been using it (Even with the more recent daily use). I like that it is American made and unless my research finds something that is overwhelmingly better rated, I intend to stick with Light & Motion for my next upgraded light.
