Steve is a British wildlife and conservation photographer based in Vancouver, Canada. Having worked extensively as a newspaper photographer Steve now focuses on photographing engaging subjects in order to raise awareness of global issues and to support local causes. Starting out as a press and sports photographer in the UK, Steve’s passion for Sharks and other marine megafauna naturally led him into working in marine conservation on a variety of subjects and locations around the globe. Having been based in Indonesia, Norway and now Canada his passion for the natural world has allowed him to build up extensive experience and understanding of image making and visual storytelling. Shooting for clients such as National Geographic, Canadian Geographic and Greenpeace, Steve also creates commercial work for brands operating in the natural environments where he has spent so much time. Steve is incredibly passionate about the natural world and finding out new ways to engage the public through photography and videography.
