Yes, the strap broke prematurely. This could be preventable if they would use a handlebar mount to prevent wear and tear on the strap.

Replacement strap

Just what I expected.
Straps typically last a couple of years before tearing between holes so I always carry an extra.
Use with a Secs 750 which I’ve had for more than 10 years.

Easy to Install

The replacement strap is very easy to install.
