Eliar Tabrizi is a Director/Cinematographer based in Florida, United States. He started his career in the industry as a Photographer and pursued his higher education in Filmmaking. As a child, Eliar was raised to become an artist and performer. His passion for music and singing was noticed, and by the age of 24 he was a famous pop music singer in Azerbaijan.
Due to the political circumstances, in 2008, Eliar joined the U.S. Armed Forces and changed his direction towards a new career. At the same time, he married Yuliya Panchenko, who later became a well-known international photographer. While living with Yuliya, Eliar naturally craved a desire in working with cameras, and he began to assist his wife in photography.
In January 2020, after three years of continuous service in Afghanistan, Eliar returned home and continued his education at Full Sail University to become a filmmaker. After few months in school, he produced, directed, and shot his first short film, “Dear Santa, Why Don’t You Like Me?”, which was selected in multiple festivals and won two international’s awards.
Eliar Tabrizi’s childhood background and life experiences living in multiple countries, under multiple regimes and cultures, brought a unique diversity to his vision as a director.
