Rich Johnson

Every image tells a story, and every artist has one to tell. Equipped with a love for the arts and a passion for cinema, Rich Johnson's influences are clearly expressed in every click of the shutter. His unwavering dedication to his craft is evident in his award winning work. He is the co-founder of Spectacle Photo, and his company has gone on to work with many high profile clients and has had many of their projects featured across all media platforms. In 2013 he won the Outstanding Photographer RAW award, and in 2014 he and the creative team at Joseph Gordon Levitt’s HitRECord won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media. He then went on to spearhead an anti-bullying awareness campaign called Weapon of Choice that went viral across network television and utilized by over 180 non-profits worldwide. His powerful photographs and videos from that campaign caught the attention of the UNAIDS organization, which led to him being a speaker at the US Senate in 2014.

Rich has also personally created advertising campaigns and marketing assets for many recognizable companies like Sony, Jawbone, Panasonic, TED Talks, Discovery Channel, and more. His photos have been published and recognized by countless photography websites and print outlets like Inked Magazine, Fstoppers, Adobe, Nikon, Peta Pixel, and many photography industry magazines. In 2016 he was tasked by Evok, an Orlando based advertising agency, to head up a complete graphical re-brand of the nationwide food chain Pita Pit, and he also became a lead contract photographer for Jay Z’s Roc Nation. Through Roc Nation he has photographed promotional material for many bands like Flogging Molly, The Offspring, Rancid, NOFX, and Skinny Lister. Rich is also a co-founder of the multi-million dollar Cannonball Kids’ cancer (CKc) Foundation, which is a non-profit dedicated to fighting childhood cancer through funding research. In 2017 Rich was selected to photograph the promotional materials for Vanity Fair Confidential, a network crime show that’s produced by The Discovery Channel, and he was a panel judge at Full Sail’s Adobe Creative Jam.
