Seca Comp 1500 has distinguished itself as an unrivaled cross-over light, a perfect combination of high-power in a compact, battery integrated design. By utilizing two battery cells, Seca Comp 1500 is one of the few cycling lights on the market able to achieve powerful output that does not quickly fade. Custom-engineered optics do not waste light and is specifically engineered to provide cyclists a wide beam ideal for handlebar illumination. A penetrating LED array gives a powerful spot beam in conjunction with a diffused flood beam ideal for both road and trail use to provide exceptional range of vision for serious rides. Amber sidelights and a daytime pulse mode ensure road visibility but a secondary button allows the side lighting to be turned off when on the trail.

  • 1500 Lumen Output certified to the FL-1 Standard with high powered CREE LED array
  • Custom engineered reflector/optics provide wide reaching beam pattern close up with a powerful penetrating spot beam further out
  • Advanced electronics regulates power to keep lumen output from fading to ensure you have powerful illumination during the entire ride
  • One-touch 'Race Mode' enables riders to conveniently toggle between high and medium output to focus on the trail ahead
  • Accurate battery status indication illuminates the power button with three different colors to clearly display remaining runtime with 4 levels
  • Innovative amber side lighting increases overall visibility on the road and can be turned off for trail riding
  • Mount to a handlebar with a simple but thoughtfully designed strap that cinches light to bar to prevent movement in bumpy terrain

FAQ

Why won't my light turn on?  The power button just blinks red.

Your light is in travel lock out mode.  Light & Motion incorporates this feature into all of our lights for storage and travel because there is nothing more frustrating than to pull your "charged" light out of the drawer or bag only to find it discharged.

To unlock, press and hold the power button & the mode button simultaneously for about 4 seconds. The indicator light will blink green 3 times.

To lock, when the light is on, press and hold the power button (clear) & the mode button (black) simultaneously for about 4 seconds. The indicator light will blink red 3 times.  Now it is safe to store your light.

Upgrade from Taz

Have had this light a few months now and love it. I use it in flash mode for daytime HWY rides and night as my only light. Works great on road and trails. My favorite part of L&M lights are the easy rubber mounting.

Shooting Star

This light motion is the third I have owned, and not my favorite... My best analogy for the light is a shooting star; really lights up the night, but only lasts for a short time. Light motion has the best bar attachment with the rubber strap. Tight fit with no damage to the bars. Price is high, high only lasts about 40 mins, crazy bright, definitely better built than the urban models.

Overall its right in the middle of the pack for headlights. If your commute is under 30 mins, I say give it a go, over 30 and maybe not...

An excellent all around light

This is my third Taz light. I keep buying them because they are so functional and dependable that I like to have extras on hand for my friends when their lights inevitably die mid-ride. The Taz is great as either a bar light or when adapted to a helmet. I am a big fan of the all-in-one style light. No chords to get tangled. The 1500 lumen are sufficient to light the dark, dank trails of the PNW. What more could you ask for? The only downside is that the lockout feature can take you by surprise if you don't know how to use the light. So be sure to understand how that works.

Purchased for MTB, but Works Great on Road as well

This light changed my view of nighttime trail riding. Great power from a fully-contained handlebar unit and it easily mounts to my road bike for skinny-tire night rides. Two thumbs up!

Great Light for Road or MTB

I have used this light for 2 night rides in a wooded area with many rocks , ledges, and snow. I commuted to the MTB trails on roads and urban trails. It works really well in both high and low depending on speed. The diffuse and focused combination of the LEDs light the trail right in front as well as farther down the trail. I have not drained the battery, but only was out for 2 hours with high/low use. I have GoPro mounts for my bars and helmet. I would recommend this if you have more than one bike and/or helmet. I use this light in combination with a Trail 1000 on my helmet. I have used the trail on a ski helmet in the past for backcountry. I will be able to mount the Seca on the same GoPro mount on any helmet.
